I am an Associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of Northern Iowa, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, where I have worked since 2007. I am an active member of the MAA, and I am an exponent and user of Inquiry Based Learning.
I use this blog mostly to think about and plan my teaching. That means there is more activity near the ends of each semester than during the middle.
← This is what I look like without the mask. (Okay, it is what I looked like in summer of 2013. It is reasonably accurate, still.) The image is courtesy of the Academy of Inquiry Based Learning/Educational Advancement Foundation. I am grateful to them for the photo, but also for support during early parts of my career when I learned what it means to teach.
You can find my official UNI page here, and you can follow me on Twitter here.
Very cool to randomly find your blog and see what you are up to now!
Hey! It’s been a long time.
